Check out the Duo. It is a dual chamber “twist” on a traditional French press. Big bold taste, no gunk.
A big problem with the French press is that even after you “press” the coffee, the coffee grounds remain in contact with the coffee. This results in over-extracted coffee if you don’t immediately pour out all of the joe. With Duo’s dual chamber design, the coffee grounds remain in the top chamber and your precious coffee passes into the lower chamber. Coffee in the bottom chamber can now sit without fear of over-extraction.
What about Cold Brew?
Duo is also perfect for brewing iced coffee. If you prefer a traditional cold press brew, fill Duo with coffee and water and let it sit in your fridge for 12 hours. If you’re more the instant gratification type, go with a Japanese style iced coffee. Use Duo just like you would for hot coffee, but fill the bottom chamber with ice before you start. The Japanese method produces tea-like aromas and flavors due to the rapid cooling of the coffee over ice.
